That's what you'll find out more about when you visit our state's beautiful conservation showcase. Take time to visit the many displays of animals, fish, and photography. You're sure to walk away with a sense of pride for what Missouri's landscape has to offer. A slide presentation, museum viewing and walking trails are all a part of this tour.

This tour includes Runge Conservation Nature Center, a Master Gardener’s greenhouse and raised vegetable beds, and an outstanding Master Gardeners’ private home garden. At the Runge Conservation Nature Center, a presentation entitled “Making Everyday a Getaway” will show “Seven Wonders of Missouri” with a description of plants, animals, and special aspects of each wonder. Participants may spend the remaining time in the center viewing the various exhibits or walking one of the five hiking trails available.

The next stop is at the home of Don Schneiders, a Master Gardener, local radio personality, and tomato expert. Don will share his greenhouse and vegetable gardening experiences with us and answer any questions you might have.

The final stop is the garden of Jim and Jenelle Schwieterman, both Master Gardeners. Their large corner lot hosts a vast number of plants, a Japanese garden, French parterre, and over 150 containers. Jim and Jenelle live and breathe gardening! Don’t miss this one!
